Question : A doctor prescribed me Montelukast but I'm afraid of side effects. I have allergies and I produce a lot of mucus after I get up, I also have post nasal dripping.During the day while I'm working I'm fine most of the time.I use the inhaler once in the morning if I need it.This time of the year is bad for me.

Montelukast is a safe drug..very effective for allergies. You can take it.
My advice is you should get a x-ray paranasal sinuses done to diagnose the pathology. The further treatment will depend on the reports.
