I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and reports, and understand your concern.You are having disc prolapse at L5-S1 disc level. Posterior central disc herniation is noted at L5-S1. Caudal migration of the disc is seen in the posterior central region, indenting both traversing nerve roots. You will be benefitted with rest in lateral position with both hips and knees flexed. Analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief is useful. Mecobalamine is helpful in recovery of nerves.
Your vitamin D is low. Taking supplements of vitamin D3 60000 IU weekly will be useful.
You wanted to know about side effects of nervimax( pregabalin) . These are many. Pregabalin may cause unwanted side effects that require medical attention such as Difficult or labored breathing, shortness of breath, tightness in the chest.

I am not happy with Ibuprofen for pain relief and I avoid pain killer tabs . Understand Mervimax is given for recovery of nurve? Please advise whether this will be helpful. Earlier I had taken prelogic for 3 months and was feeling better. Now this does not work on me. Is Mecobalamine similar medicine like Mermimax?

Nervimax and Prelogic are similar. Nervimax 75 mg SR contains Methylcobalamin 750mcg Pregabalin 75mg.PRELOGIC cap also contains pregabalin 75 mg, methylcobalamin 750 mcg. Mecobalamine and methylcobalamin are same. So all these medicines are similar. Yes they are given for recovery from nerve injury.
