Brief Answer:
Psychological side effects of somatotropine;

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
I can understand your concern regarding to your son's health.
Depression can be a side effect of somatotropine hormone treatment, it is not common and may be in some cases due to overdosage.
Irritability is also a known side effect and is considered a minor one.
These are the most known psychological side effects of somatotropine.
The situation you described is a bit complicated as he is in adolescence and often such behaviors are a common finding during it. So rather it is a depression caused by somatotropine or ''boosted'' by other factors would be better evaluated by a psychologist.
After that, you should discuss with his treating physician rather to treat the depression or lowering the dose of somatotropine.
Hope the information will help.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
