Question : Yes, please. My insurance will no longer cover Pantaprozole. I need to see the side effects of like drugs to determine if they will interact with asthma or my other allergies to drugs and foods. Thank you.

                                    Brief Answer:
Quite safe
Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for using HCM.
Pantoprazole and similar medications belong to a group of medications called proton pump inhibitors. These are very safe medications.
Some of the commonly encountered side effects of these PPI are headache and diarrhea. Long term intake by elderly individuals however can weaken bones.
They do not interact with the asthma medications.
They also do not worsen asthma and other allergies.
I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

According to my insurance carrier Dexilant in 30 or 60 mg is covered and Omerazole in 10 or 20 mg is covered.
Which drug would work and be the best for me after being on Protonix 40mg and Pantaprozole 40 mg for over 10 years.
I may be able to also get Rabeprazole in a 20 mg with a pre authorization from my Dr.
