Question : Hi Doctor,
Dose " Pentasa sashes 2 mg" would help with Fibromyalgia and are ther side effects?

I would not advise Pentasa for Fibromyalgia.

Hello and welcome,

I don't know how medicine is practiced in Australia, but I cannot find anywhere that Pentasa (mesalamine) is used in Fibromyalgia. If it is used for this, it is "off label". Pantasa is approved for ulcerative colitis. And yes, there are side effects.

In the U.S., more standard medication treatment for Fibromyalgia is the drug pregabalin (Lyrica), and also duloxetine (Cymbalta) or other SNRI medications.

Before taking something that is not conventionally used for Fibromyalgia, please check with an up to date rheumatologist.
