Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

Mirtazapine is basically an antidepressant medicine. It may improve your husband's behavior,if it is mainly arising out of depression.
The side effects can be weight gain, sleepiness, giddiness, agitation in behavior, nightmares, hallucinations, tremors, restlessness, increased liver enzymes, low sodium levels, low level of white blood cells.

I had listed the side effects as you asked for the same. However,It is important to mention here that side effects of Remeron are not that commonly observed in clinics. So,its better to think of effects rather than side effects.Still,be cautious and if you note anything unusual in him, please report it to your treating physician.

Hope that helps.I shall be glad to have you in follow-up if you have any further questions.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
