Brief Answer:
can take somac for long periods

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

Somac is the trade name for the generic drug pantoprazole. It is of PPIs drug group.

It is used in patients with reflux as you. It can be used for long periods until achieving the desired effect.

It is also important to
- follow a healthy diet and lifestyle regimen to avoid aggravation of the symptoms
- take antacids after meal
- do not lay down immediately after eating
- if overweight, try to reduce weight
- do not eat fast
- be more physically active
