Question : Hi I have been taking taxim o 200 mg as prescribed by doctor. I have skin rashes n itching. Am in 28th week of my pregnancy. Kindly let me know if I can continue to take this antibiotic inspire of the side effects or do I stop the intake of tablets. Is it safe to stop taking the tablet in between the course

I would like to know the purpose of taking Taxim-O antibiotic?

Since you have developed an allergic reaction to antibiotic Taxim-O (Cefixime), I would advise you to stop taking the medication & consult your treating doctor to prescribe an alternative antibiotic like Amoxicillin for the eradication of the infection. An alternate is necessary as you have to complete a prescribed course of antibiotic.
