Question : Hi. I just realized my son, 5, has finished a bottle of tminic (arnd 25 ml) two days back. I found an empty bottle today and questioned him. He showed no sign of any drowsiness vomit or fever. In fact there was no sign at all. But I am worried. Should I take him to a doctor? Please help. J

Brief Answer:
No need to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,

Tminic is a cough syrup containing antihistamine and decongestant.
The effect of overdose depends on how rapid he has consumed the said quantity.
Anyhow, if it was too rapid, there must be features like excessive drowsiness, agitation, restlessness, headache etc(seizure, tremor, breathing difficulty, urinary disturbance etc are rare features).

As he is asymptomatic, let's hope the dose taken was not so large or rapid.
Right now, you need not worry. Just watch for the said features for coming 1 to 2 days. If uneventful, just forget after that.
Be careful to avoid future mishaps.

Hope I have answered your question.
Wishing everything to be fine.
Thank you.
