Question : What are the antacids for oral use that have the least likelihood of longterm deleterious effects?
Brief Answer:
Omeprazole and Ranitidine are the safest!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Omeprazole and ranitidone are the safest. Cimetidine has not been very good over the years and being gradually withdrawn. I will suggest you stick to these two if you must take any. Others such as aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide can also be used safely in the short term.
I wish you well. Feel free to follow up if need be.
