Question : Hiii... i m 20 yrs old girl n i m in sexual relationship from last 5 years with my fiance... n frm last 3 years m using unwanted 72 n ipill... in these 3 yeara i gain my weight from 57 to 70.. n my periods cycle becom so fast... i m getting periods with a gap of 8 days.. i m so worried about my health please suggest me what should i do

2. Have you approached a doctor with this problem? Was any blood tests done?

From the history you have given me it looks like you are suffering from thyroid dysfunction. I don't think your weight gain is secondary to the tablets you have been taking. I recommend that you meet a general physician and get a thyroid function test done. Treatment will stop hair fall, regularize periods and also make you lose weight

i had done the blood test of thyroid n result is negative.. i m nt having problem of thyroid.n i m using ipill from last 3year.... so in future i cn b mother? now i stop taking it. but i m worrie about my future.

You will be able to conceive in the future. Ipill is not known to cause problems with conception after stopping the pill.

If your thyroid is normal I would like you to get an ultra sound abdomen done to rule out polycystic ovary. This syndrome is the second most common cause for weight gain
