Question: I took twice the recommended dosage of linzess by mistake (580 mcg instead of 290). What are the possible side effects of this?

Possible diarrhea!

Hi and thanks for this query.

Most feared consequence is diarrhea. I will say be on the look out for this and should it occur, then increase fluids intake. It will be unlikely though as patients do take such doses without any severe complications.
