Question : my friend uses crystal meth. I was wondering what i can pre pare for regarding her health. She doesn't take her high blood pressure medication and has recently suffered a stroke, seizure which landed her in the hospital. What r other health problems associated with crytal meth usage besides stroke, seizures?

Frankly because most of those dying from meth are just found dead, the arrhythmia, heart attack and stroke rates are not really known.

I would estimate up to a 1% risk of death per year from methamphetamine.
probably a 10 fold higher risk of mental disorders including anxiety, paranoia, losing touch with reality. And I mean even after not being on the drug.

The changes in mental functioning with permanent brain damage are the worst. people become someone other than who they were with a real loss of ability to have emotions when not high, loss of memory, loss of ability to interact well with others...
