Question : hi doctor...i recently went to a massage parlor and she performed rubbing her upper vagina on my penis shaft. I did not notice any shredding or legions in her...am i at risk of contracting any HPV or HSV2? And how soon can i test for both using PCR DNA?

HPV can be transmitted by genital rubbing/ dry humping though not HSV

Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am dr.kakkar (dermatologist and venereologist).
Though genital rubbing/ dry humping/ skin to skin conract is a risk factor for transmission of HPV it is not so much a risk factor for HSV. HSV is only transmitted during a sexual intercourse i.e if infected genital secretions come in contact with genital mucosa as would normally happen during an act of sexual penetration.
PCR for HPV DNA can be performed as soon as within a week of possible infection.

I can see 2 slightly raised skin colored bumps on underside of penis. These infact could very well be genital warts.
