What Are The Signs And Symptoms Of Conjunctivitis?

default
Posted on Tue, 10 Nov 2015
Question: I believe that I have conjunctivitis. I wear contacts and woke up Thursday morning to my right eye hurting and it was red. I apparently left my contact in my eye. Three days later (9/24/15) my eye is still red as ever . I need a prescription asap.

Brief Answer:
Use irrigation, anti histamine eye drops and anti inflammatory drops

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic!

Based on your history, it seems to be allergic conjunctivitis triggered by chemicals of contact lense.

Best initial treatment would be irrigating with large quanitities of cold water.

Avoid from dust and direct sunlight.

Use eye ointment of polymyxcin which is available as OTC drug specially before sleeping.

You will get much relief by topical anti inflammatory drops like of diclofennac sodium with or without combination of steroids like prednisone acetate suspensions twice or thrice daily after rinsing with cold water.

Also use oral anti histamines like cetrizine or loratidine for itching and discomfort.

Hoping you a speedy recovery. If you dont have any more questions, please close the discussion. You can also reach me directly through my profile in future, in case of any more questions, Regards.
