Question : My 2 year old has these dried out scaley looking spots on his arms and one on his back. They are alot more visible after a bath. they're pretty small. his cheeks also look like they're drying out and becoming scaley aswell. I was thinking excema but his dad has pretty bad tinea versicolor all over his shoulders, arms and back so I'm unsure..

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. I have checked the attached images. It does not look like eczema although there is a possibility of it being due to psoriasis. Nevertheless, you should apply some moisturizer like aloe vera lotion topically over the affected areas. Tinea (due to fungal cause but not necessarily same as tinea versicolor) is also another possibility to consider. A thorough clinical evaluation is needed and I would insist you to visit a dermatologist for confirmation and proper treatment.
