What Are The Signs Of Early Mensuration?

Posted on Wed, 5 Nov 2014
Question: Hi doctor,

I am 26, me and my gf were sitting in my room and after sometime we got intimate. I took my hand inside her jeans and started feeling her vagina and she also did the same, putting her hand in my jeans and feeling my private part. After a while I realized my hand was wet with her pre-ejaculation and even she felt her hand sticky with my pre-ejaculation. After that we were holding each others hands (hands with were infected with our pre-ejaculation). Then without realizing that I might have got my own sperm on my hand through her infected hand while holding each others hand, I fingered her vagina once again. After 40 minutes she went to the bathroom, she noticed her vagina was wet and then she fingered herself with the infected hand that had my sperm on it and after that she took bath.

This event of pleasuring each other happened on 27 sep which is just the next day when her period got over (22sep-26sep). Doctor she then took ipill on Monday, 29 sep around 11:30 Am which is with in 48 hours.

Doctor she had bleeding from 7 Oct - 11 Oct which is similar to bleeding during her periods and exactly same flow of bleeding which happens during period. Doctor I am concerned is she pregnant

Doctor is this early menstruation?

Brief Answer:
no chance of pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hello, I understand your anxiety related to pregnancy but there are negligible chances of pregnancy because she just finished her periods and also took ipill.
The bleeding she had in October was just her periods which came early because of ipill intake which is very common.
So just relax and use protection next time you get intimate with her.
All the best.

Thanks for the reply doctor.

Doctor I have been in touch with a few more gynecologist online. Most of them were saying exactly as you mentioned that is no chances of pregnancy and as she has got induced mensuration(early period due to ipill) so she is safe. But doctor a few gynecologist made me a bit worried as they mentioned it's a withdrawal bleeding which has nothing to do with periods and they said go in for a pregnant test as well.

Now doctor please help me.

Brief Answer:
no risk

Detailed Answer:
Yes it is withdrawal bleeding only that is why it has come earlier than scheduled date but bleeding itself suggests that there is no pregnancy.
There is no need to do a urine pregnancy test.
Most important positive point is that you had the sexual activity just after her periods got over so there is no risk of pregnancy even if you hadn't had ipill because there is no ovulation around that time.
Just relax.
Take care.

Thanks for the reply doctor,

Doctor could you tell her safe days from her previous period(22sep-26sep)?

What was the ovulation day?

When will she expect her next period?

Brief Answer:
see detailed description

Detailed Answer:
Seeing the cycle pattern ovulation day cannot be commented upon.
May be ovulation didn't happen at all.
Periods come after around 14 days after ovulation and it takes around 9-10 days at least for the egg to mature so most probably she didn't ovulated because of the effect of ipill.
There is nothing to worry about in this case as it is common after ipill intake.
Her next periods will be most probably around first week of November only if her periods were normal previously.
