Question : Hello Dr., I am 35 and husband 38, we are trying for the past 1 year to concieve. went to a infertility specialist, they ordered some tests for me first, such as blood test, prolactin, fsh, tsh, HSG, all were negative. since I dont have regular cycles, ranges from 40 to 60 days, they put me on clomephene citrate, subcutaenous injections, HSG injection. I am scheduled tomorrow for my last HSG injection, but now my husband's count is low, sperm concentration 30 mil, total motility 25%, rapid progressive motility 03%. He has been taking meds for the past 2 days, we had opted for natural for this cycle, but since his motility is low, can we opt for IUI, is there any success this time with natural or IUI?

Hi,

Your husband's semen analysis is normal and no need for any treatment. This sperm parameter is good for IUI.

But considering your age you should go for IVF. Try IUI this cycle. If you don't conceive then go for IVF next cycle.

hello dr.
i had iui on day 15 of my cycle, given duphaston and gestone for 15 days and fertigyn 5000 on day 19, and 25. today day 29, i took ican pregnancy test, i can see two lines but the T line is very light. am I really pregnant or is it because of fertigyn falst positive? I am asked to go for blood test only on day 36, still 5 days left, and i cant wait to know. i am not on any tablets now except ovacare, can i continue it?

It could be false positive due to fertigyn. Cant be sure.

Please get serum beta hCG blood test after 2 days and let me know report. I shall advice scan if necessary.

Take folic acid tablets meanwhile
