Question : Do women have epidymitis ? what are the symptoms and treatments ?
Brief Answer:
Women do no have an epididymis so cannot have epididymitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Epididymitis is an infection of the epididymis
No, it is not possible for a female to have epididymitis because they do not have an epididymis, this structure is not present in women.
If you are having pain or symptoms of the genital tract then may be related to- uterus, tubes, vagina, cervix.
The urinary tract can also present with symptoms in the pelvis as well
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

I have genital lesions on my labia What is the treatment for this and are they contagious
Brief Answer:
Different possible causes
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
There are a number of different lesions that can occur on the labia. They may have slightly difference appearance.
Lesions can be due to:
(1) Bacterial infection of the area, this may be associated with swelling in some persons
(2) Warts- these may be flat non painful lesions
(3) Herpes- small bumps, may be painful, break open and crust over in some persons
(4) Benign growths(not cancerous growths) can also be found
(5) Dermatitis can also occur in this area as well. This means that the skin in the area is responding to an irritant
(6) Cysts- most commonly also benign
Lesions on the genitalia or any aspect of skin on diagnosed based on seeing and examining the lesion and also testing if the cause is not clear. In some persons, a biopsy of one of the lesions is needed for an accurate diagnosis.
If there is itching, you can try a mild steroid cream such as hydrocortisone twice daily.
