Question : My granddaughter is in kindergarten. She did not attend preschool. The school is attempting to label her. Initially, they wanted to consider her as ADD and OCD. Now they say she has aspergers. I have been reading and am not without education. I am a CRNA with a masters degree and I am trying to look at this objectively. I have read about the early signs and XXXXXXX did not display any of them. She makes eye contact. She smiles and communicates a lot! Her mother did send her to speech therapy for three months as a toddler because of concerns about speaking; however, it turned out to be more about educating my daughter to not continue to communicate through non verbal means.
If she does have Aspergers what would be the signs and symptoms for a child age 6?
