Question : Had a ct, it showed a nodule on right lung, repeated ct scan 6 weeks later, saw dr. he said its probably BAC lung cancer, but wants to wait and repeat ct in three months. Said the type of cancer this is will not spread waiting that long, and he has to be sure since he will have to remove 40% of the lung, do you agree with his waiting??

Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
The nodule is said to be BAC ie bronchoalveolar carcinoma. This type of cancer is slow growing cancer. To come to this nodular size it must have taken months to years also probably.
By waiting for 3 months it wont grow aggressively or spread.
He wants to wait and repeat just to be sure about the diagnosis and so as the treatment will be maximal beneficial for you.
Surgery is the best treatment modality for this and waiting for some more period won't push you in worse situation.
So i do agree with your doctor about the advice given by him.
