Anyway, my doc told me I am bipolar. My question, what is bipolar 1
When should I take lamotrigine 25mg? I bought it yesterday but reading s/e I'm unsure bout taking it.
I may have a couple of sign and Symptoms, but I have always been this way!
I'm 58yrs old or young depending who I ask.

Bipolar 1 disorder is characterized by intermittent periods of mania and depression.

Mania is what you describe above -- talking rapidly while on antidepressants, decreased sleep, increased energy, racing thoughts. Depression is characterized by low mood, insomnia or sleeping too much, eating too much or too little, and feeling lack of pleasure in things.

Lamotrigine is a very safe and very effective medication for preventing manic and depressive episodes. The only side effect to be aware of is rash, which if it happens you need to show to your doctor, but otherwise it is safe. I'm sure this medication will help you!
