Brief Answer:
different possible symptoms according to part of colon.

Detailed Answer:
HI,
Welcome to healthcare magic

The colon (large intestine) is composed of 4 parts:

1)the ascending colon (this is on the right side), 2)the transverse colon (this goes across from the ascending),
3)the descending colon and
4)the sigmoid colon.

The descending and sigmoid colon are both on the left side of the abdomen.

The general symptoms of colon cancer would be weight loss, loss of appetite, change in bowel habits , blood in the stool, abdominal pain, anaemia (this would cause fatigue, palpitations, shortness of breath).

Cancer on the right side of the colon (the ascending colon and some part of the transverse colon) are more likely to bleed and cause diarrhoea.

Cancer on the left side of the colon are more likely to have symptoms of obstruction of the bowel (constipation, bloating, vomiting).

However, most lesions could be detected early before any symptoms because of availability of more advanced screening procedures or tests like colonoscopy, biopsy or tumour markers.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask if any more query.
