Brief Answer:
About Diabetes symptoms;

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
Diabetes symptoms occur when the blood glucose is over 180 mg/ dl.
In early phases or in prediabetes there are no specific signs or symptoms suggesting for it.
Usually is fiagnosed by regular control of blood sugar in persons in risk for developing Diabetes ( obese patients, persons who have family members with Diabetes, persons who are under corticosteroid treatment ect).
That is why in these patients is recommended to monitor frequently the blood glucose in order to diagnose it as soon as possible, not to wait for the symptoms.
The symptoms caused by Diabetes, when it is over 180 mg/ dl are:
- fatigue
-frequent urination
-Dry mouth
-Feeling thirsty
- weight loss

So i would not suggest to wait for the symptoms but to check the blood sugar frequently if you have risk factors for Diabetes.
Hope i have answered your query.
Best wishes,
Dr.Mirjeta
