Question : Some kind of mark has appeared on my wife's foot and also the nail of one of the toes is turning black. There is no known injury but still, it is seen as black.
We are afraid that it is gangrene, which we searched on the internet. I am sharing the pictures.

Don't worry it's not gangrene.
Gangrene is an infective condition and is associated with fever and pain.
This is just pigmentation like any other mole on body.
It is common and is harmless.
If she develops multiple such dark spots within a few months then you would require to consult a doctor.
As of now there is nothing to worry.
