Brief Answer:
Hand-foot-and-mouth disease

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Hand-foot-and-mouth disease is caused by Coxsackievirus (enterovirus group).
There's no specific treatment for hand-foot-and-mouth disease. Rinsing or gurgling your mouth with warm water after meals (as you are already doing) is usually needed.
The lesions usually resolve in 1 week-maximum 10 days..Hence don't worry.

The disease is highly infectious, with attack rates of close to 100% among young children.Hence not to go to school till all the lesion resolves (fever subsides and oral sores have healed).

After that you can attend school.
