What Are The Symptoms Of Heart Attack?

default
Posted on Tue, 24 Mar 2015
Question: I drank too much on Saturday night and vomitted Sunday morning. (I don't typically over drink like this). It triggered sharp burning sensations around or under my breasts and then down into both arms, lingering in my left wrist. Then on Monday I sneezed and experienced the same sensation. And again today (Tuseaday) during a bowel movement. I haven't had any alcohol since Saturday. I'm 53 and female. I'm a healthy eater, not overweight and excercise regularly.

Brief Answer:
This is not suggestive of heart attack!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this pain that you have described. Clearly, your report depicts that you are very concerned about a possible heart attack. This is very unlikely as your symptoms do not suggest so. I am leaning more towards a possible stomach problem following the excess alcohol. I will recommend you take
omeprazole and let's observe this pain again symptom. It should normally regress. Also, I will like to say that you stop the aspirin as 2 pills are never used if heart attack is suspected and this can actually worsen the symptoms by aggravating the stomach irritation. Beside, what is the dosage of this aspirin pill?

You have witnessed firsthand the consequences of alcohol. I implore you to stay away from this. Regular exercise, healthy diets, NO smoking and fruits and vegetable consumption would greatly improve your health.

I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
