What Are The Symptoms Of Migraine?

default
Posted on Tue, 28 Apr 2015
Question: The tree pollen is bad here in Southeast. I always sneeze though taking Nasacort. For the first time, I have noticed since the pollen has been out I am getting a headache on one side of my head that moves around and throbs at the same time of day. It generally responds to NSAIDs but occasionally with pulsate or throb. It is migraine, will a antihistamine like Corcidin HB help?

Brief Answer:
Corcidin HB would help. Major approach is to avoid this trigger(pollen).

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this allergy that you have reported. True Corcidin would help but this is definitely not the best response that we are looking for. orcidin has the added advantage of containing an NSAID which is Tylenol. In this case, you would get a double shot using a single tablet.

The best approach would be to avoid getting in contact with pollen. I know this is hard and may require so much to stay away from this environment and more so if it is related to work. However, there are a few things we can do, You can choose to wear a good mask that would not allow particles through and as such pollen dust would not get into the air passages and cause so much hazard.

In all, take Corcidin now as an immediate relief agent. However, plan on staying a way from this pollen dust. If this is impossible, then get a mask to wear on and avoid all these disturbing symptoms. A common say goes" prevention is always better than cure".

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for trusting us with your health question today!
