Brief Answer:
In my opinion, it cannot be included as a symptom of OCD

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Lying is less of a symptom and more of a situational occurrence in individuals with OCD.

For example, a husband who has an OCD with doors, he has to open and close the door 10 times before he can enter the house/room or exit it. Now when his concerned wife asks him whether or not he is making progress and is entering the room/house without having to do that, he might lie to her just to get her to worry less.

This is situational because some individuals may choose not to lie about it, but some may choose to either lie or live in denial about it. So the answer would be a no in my opinion if you are speaking about it being a general symptom in individuals with OCD.

I hope I have explained things in a manner best understood by you. Please feel free to write to me for any further clarifications, or in case I have not explained things clearly enough.

Best wishes.
