You are wondering what the symptoms of thyroid storm are? Thyroid storm is where the body releases a large amount of thyroid hormone. This will cause high temperature, high heart rate, anxiety, tremor and flushing of the skin. Due to the extra high metabolism the heart can give out or produce a heart attack. It is unlikely that taking thyroid hormones orally can cause a thyroid storm but you can cause hyperthyroidism with high doses of thyroid replacement therapy.
