NAC is N Acetyl Cysteine.

It is mainly used to treat tylenol overdose/Poisoning.
It is also used to clear mucus blockage in collapsed lungs.
It has been used to treat few psychiatric disorders also.

Some of the common side effects are nausea, vomiting and altered bowel habits.
