Well i think i black out for a few seconds on friday. Since then i been feeling light headed or feeling like my equlibrium is off. It took 5 nights before i was able to finally go to sleep. Brief Answer:
Withdrawal effects of xanax.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.

You took xanax 1mg for 5 months.

Stopping xanax abruptly can cause withdrawal symptoms.
In my opinion, the blackout and lightheadedness which were experiencing were most probably the withdrawal effects of xanax. It can usually last for 7-10days.

Its great that you are back to your normal sleep now.

I would also request to get your blood pressure checked. Sometimes, altered BP can also cause these symptoms.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.
