Question : i have red spots on back of throat that look like palatal petechiae. I don't have strep throat, though, and no other symptoms. What could this be?
Brief Answer:
Do a total blood count with formula.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
I see the photo you attached and there are red spots on roof of mouth , palatal petechiae.
It is not only strep-throat which causes it but can be mononucleosis also or other viral infections.
If you are not having other symptoms you can only do a total blood count with formula to check if it is ok.
No need to take anything or do further testing.
Hope I have answered the question.
