Question : how high should a persons temperature get before they seek medical attention. an adult had a fever of 102 saw the doctor. at the office it was down to 99.4 when home went up to 102.6 again.

102 is good enough to seek medical attention. Main aim in here is to get things diagnosed and then treat then cause. If this is viral it will hopefully get better on its own if it's bacterial patients might need antibiotics.

There are some other causes of fever but first thing to be considered is infection.
