What Can I Do About Left Leg Pain, Intermittent Left Chest Pain And Stiffness Radiating From My Shoulder Towards My Eye?
Question: 1. I have been having a sort of pain in my left leg just above ankle outside. It gets very cold some time too. A few years ago I had CT if any blood vessel is blocked in both legs and did not find any. I would like to know why this happens. It is some times very bothersome. I don't want to take any medication for it now.
2, I have pain left chest just besides of the chest bone it occurs sometimes. I had a bad shingles 4 years ago. My family doctor said it was the worst she saw. I had it in right chest to the back, and have pain in the scar and one spot particularly has sharp pain sometimes. From this spot in the back my shoulder, to neck, to the eye
right side give me some pain and stiffness. I wonder if all these pain are related.
My family doctor and eye doctor diagnosed Trigeminal Neuralgia. I have a sharp pain in my face sometime but it does not happen often. The pain and stiffness feeling above my eyes are very much bothersome.
I took Amitriptyline for sometime but it raised blood pressure very badly I had to quit.
I took MRI test over my face and brain. The doctor told me I do not have any major problem.
But the pain and a sort of stiffness above my eyes are trouble. It is very difficult to drive sometime, and can't do anything what I would like to do.
Please advice.

According to your symptoms and evaluation of previous doctor, possibility of trigeminal neuralgia and post herpetic neuralgia is most likely.
Drugs like pregabalin, Gabapentin, amitriptyline or carbamazepine can be used in low dose with slow titration.
Absence of any compression in brain MRI rules out any requirement for surgical management at present.
