Question: Hi. I have been having tingling in my legs and hips and feet for over a year. I have bursitis in my hips. I noticed when I take B-12 sublingual 1000 mcg the sythoms go away. Do you think my lack of vitamins can be the cause? I go for my annual physical every year. This year I lost 13 pounds from last year. Am I ill. I do not eat dinner every night could this be the reason.

Brief Answer:
Get evaluated and tested as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
Tingling in legs can be due to vitamin deficiencies especially vitamin B 12.
Skipping dinner may cause weight loss.
Alcohol intake is another cause of neuropathy.

I will suggest to get a vitamin B 12 level.
Supplements of vitamin B 12 will help.

In addition, I also recommend getting examined by a neurologist for any need of nerve conduction testing or MRI of spine.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

I have been to a doctor for the pain in my hips for the past 2 years. I have had cortisone shots twice and my pain was relieved. Also went to physical therapy for a awhile. It helped. Do you think my weight loss is due to my eating habits? Sorry I am so worried.

Also what can a neurological exam look look for?
