Question : My mom has cancer in her liver,bone marrow, and in the GI. But the most important is the liver. her buliruben went from 16-27. after intaking 5-fluorouracil. her condition has gotten worse. But the doctor said they cant do anything until the liver get better. they are not giving her anything until then. What can I do?

Hi,
Unfortunately the prognosis may not be good as the cancer is already involved multiple sites.
What is the primary site of the tumor? Is it the GI or liver? Did she develop jaundice rapidly or over a period of time?
Have you done an ultrasound or other scan after the development of the jaundice?
If the jaundice is due to blockage of bile duct, we can consider for stenting.
