Question : I get hungry at night at 2-3AM every day. The hunger dies and creates acidity, gas causing me problem in the morning. I take rice for dinner at around 9-10 PM. Please suggest me some way to avoid getting hunger during my sleep. Something I can eat to carry it till 6-7 AM.
I am very thin, and I do eat less, I get hungry every few hours. Thanks.

                                    Brief Answer:
Duodenal ulcer?
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Such symptoms can be caused by duodenal ulcer: nighttime hunger-pain and acidity that wakes up the patient and is relieved by eating. An upper gastrointestinal endoscopy would clarify this issue.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Kind Regards!

I did have duodenal ulcer, but the affect is much low after I was treated with PPI for 2 months. I feel hungry at night and need a solution to this problem. Any suggestion?
Thanks.
                            Thanks.
                                    Brief Answer:
Check again with an endoscopy.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
2 months' treatment is sufficient for ulcers usually but since the symptoms are suggestive the endoscopy has to be repeated. If the endoscopy is clear then you should just make sure you eat a snack before bed. Since you're thin you can prefer food with relatively high-fat content as this causes more durable satiety.
Hope I have answered your query.
Kind Regards!
