Question : What can i take for pancreatitis?
Brief Answer:
Get hospitilised till then take lots and lots of fluid.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Treatment usually requires hospitalisation. Once they stabilise the patient, doctors treat the underlying cause. Its an emergency condition and requires hospitilisation in most of the case.
A pancreatic diet is a low-fat diet; no more than 20g/day and no alcohol but plenty of fluid and with chronic pancreatitis flares, only clear liquids with no foods may be recommended for 24-48 hours.
Lots of i.v fluids are administered.
It can't be treated at home.
Regards.
