Question : I usually take one 10 mg of atorvastatin per day. I accidentally took two of my husband's 40 mg of atorvastatin, or 80 mg, thinking it was my Omega 3. Do I need to call my doctor?

Brief Answer:
no

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Taking a single dose of 80 mg should not harm you in any way. You can let your doctor know this the next time you see them but unless you have some adverse reaction to taking the higher dose you do not need to call them at present.
Let me know if you have other questions.
