any clues on what that could be a sign of ?

Please visit a dermatologist for biopsy.

Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
I see the photo you attached and it seems like lichen nitidus. Anyway the biopsy of the lesion may be needed so visit a dermatologist .
Corticosteroid ointments may help and oral antihistamines also.
