Brief Answer:
A number of causes.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

This could be due to a number of reasons, the most common of which is anemia which can be diagnosed by a CBC test and can be treated with iron supplements. Other causes include liver dysfunction which can be diagnosed by a blood test for liver functions (AST, ALT), kidney dysfunction which can be diagnosed by a blood test for kidney functions (urea and creatinine) and hypothyroidism which can be diagnosed by a blood test for thyroid hormonal profile (T3, T4 and TSH).

I hope you find this helpful.
