Probably muscle damage, a physical examination is needed
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Your symptoms can be related to a muscle damage,a nerve damage or other functional causes.
To confirm the cause of your symptoms a physical examination is necessary.
If the physical examination is not enough there are a number of other examinations to confirm the diagnosis like:
-anal manometry
-colonoscopy
Meanwhile, some advice that I can give to you are:
-use anti diarrheal drugs like Imodium
-drink planty of liquids
-eat fiber rich diet
-special exercises are recommended to improve muscle strength
-hygiene is very important so wash and dry frequently the area. Also, use cotton underwear.
The main thing to do next is the physical examination.
Hope my answer was helpful.
If you have any other questions I'll be glad to help.

An MRI can determine the cause of your symptoms
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Actually, the common initial symptom of fecal incontinence may be constipation or diarrhea.
If you already have done the examinations that I suggested before, then an MRI may be needed to determine if the problem is related to the muscle or to the nerve.
Meanwhile, the advice that I gave to you will help to ease the symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
