What Can Cause Frequent Nasal Congestion, Throat Pain And Fever In A Child?

Question: Hi Doctor, my daughter often gets nasal congestion and throat pain with mild fever, this is very often to her. with medicine she gets relief but this comes again after few days not sure what can be reason for same? why she gets throat pain frequently? is there any other cause than allergy?

Nasal pathology.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Frequent nasal congestion can be due to some nasal pathology like a nasal septum deviation or sinusitis.

Sore throat is due to post nasal drip caused by nasal congestion.
You should get an x-ray paranasal sinuses done and send me the picture of her throat so that I can suggest you better and advice you accordingly.
