Question : I have 28 day cycle, and I am currently trying to conceive.. my cycle is usually very on point... but I had a month where I started spotting 6 days prior to my period and was spotting for 5 days followed by heavy period.. the next month it was regular cycle.. and now I am spotting 5 days before so I am wondering what can this be

Hello,
The most common reason for early sotting per vaginum before your due date for menses is serum progesterone deficiency. You need to get your serum progesterone levels done especially on day 21 of your cycle. If they are less than 21ng/dl then you have deficiency and require cyclical progesterone therapy for support.
