Very unlikely to be a complication of that surgery
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Pain on the right upper quadrant in a patient with removed gallbladder can be most likely due to gastritis. Stress usually increases gastritis by stimulating autonomous nerves.
The second possibility is that it could be due to muscular involvement.
Initially, I would suggest you take action a natural stress buster for a few days along with omeprazole (OTC). If not relieved then Tylenol could be added to cover muscular pain.
Involvement of the gallbladder area or hepatobiliary system does not make much sense after so many years however to be sure you can go for an ultrasound upper abdomen.
Hope I have answered your query.
