Question : I have a tingling sensation in the outer ear canal of my left ear. It feels like a bug is crawling on the hairs in my ear. I am 46, 260 lbs, and 5'4".

Possible fungal infection of the external ear.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

These symptoms could possibly suggest an infection of the external ear. Ear wax might coexist.

The possibility of fungal infection is high.

I generally prescribe antifungal ear drops like Clotrimazole Betamethasone combination to my patients with such symptoms.

Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these medications to improve your symptoms.
