Question : Hi,
2 days ago while giving an insulin injection to a patient I recapped the needle and pricked myself. Pt has no HIV or Hep that I know of; however, she’s under arimidex. Should I be concerned? I'm in my mid 30's and plan to get pregnant next year.

Brief Answer:
You should NOT be concerned at all.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
I can understand your concern.
Insulin needle is always no 26 - very thin, good thing is you know that the patient is no HIV or Hep.
Arimidex is a drug mostly used for breast cancers. And cancer is never transferred by such pricks, nor the medicine.

Nothing to worry.
You can safely go for pregnancy next year.
