Question: Hi, I am in my 70s and morbidly obese and basically bed bound. I have a large belly flap that my doctor isn't doing anything about. It is open, oozing and extremely painful. What can you suggest? I have never been in this much pain in my life. Please help me!

Brief Answer:
There can be a fungal infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I need to see a picture of it in order to have a better idea.
I believe there can be a fungal infection there due to excessive moisture.
You may need to wash it well with gentle soap and let it dry in open air.
You can use talk to reduce excess moisture.
You can use sudocream or clotrimazole ointment on it.
If it is a wound, then you need to see a surgeon.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.
