Question: I just got my result to my last blood test. My AST, SGOT is 59 and my ALT, SGPT is 48 and my Alkaline Phosphatase is 112. Last week I had an ultrasound of my gallbladder and liver the results were many gallstones, enlarged liver. I also have hypothyroidism and diabetes. I have been having a lot of abdominal pain on both sides, back pain(not spine pain) I have also have a lot of itching, diarrhea, nausea. My question is, what else should I make sure my Dr. Looks into? I've been concerned and just changed Dr's because my last Dr wasn't running any test or figuring out whats going on. I was told to eat more fiber and take something for the diarrhea, which is constant.

Brief Answer:
Endoscopy will be required

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic

Dear Ms

The cause of your symptoms are unlikely to be due to coincidentally detected gall stones.

I would also the following investigation

1. Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy
2. Magnetic Resonance cholangiopancreatogram

I would also like to know some additional history
1. Do you consume alcohol?
2. Are your bowel movement regular?

Awaiting your response

Take care

Dear Ms

It would be very helpful if you could provide me with additional information

1. How long did you consume alcohol
2. What was the duration of consumption and quantity consumed.

Large consumption of alcohol can lead to fatty liver and liver enlargement.

Awaiting your response.
